    MY FATHER THE LATE MR HECTOR d'SILVA HAD DONATED THE ROOD CROSS TO ST PAUL THE APOSTLE CHURCH IN 1933 AND IT WAS COSECRATED ON JANUARY 24 AND 25 1934 BUT IT HAD NEVER BEEN MENTIONED NOT EVEN IN THE 50 YEARS ANNIVERSARY SOUVENIR PUBLISHED.I HAVE SOME INFORMATION OF THE CHURCH FROM ITS DAYS AT GASWORKS SGTREET COLOMBO.IN THIS SOUVENIR.[;EASE GET A COPY OF THE SOUVENIOR AND IT WILL STATE THAT REV BASIL CAME MUCH LATER IN 1930 AFTYER THE TRANSFER FROM GASWORKS STREET TO KYNSEY ROAD WAS TAKEN. BY THE WARDENS.there is MENTION OF SO ME GIFT BY SOME PEOPLE ON PAGE 18 OF THE SOUVENIR ..MY AFTHER NAME WAS NEVER MENTIONED AND THIS GIFT OF THE R;/C why why why why. my father resigned after more than 10 years as vicors wardenCan youi tell the world who donated that rood cross,who paid for it etc.
